New Fashion Store
2026A full-stack enterprise level Java web application powered by Hibernate ORM and Jersey REST services, featuring dynamic catalog filtering, secure user authentication, and automated order management.
New Fashion Store is a full-featured e-commerce platform built to handle retail apparel operations. It bridges consumer-facing online purchasing with comprehensive back-office administration for inventory, orders, and customer accounts.
The platform supports dynamic catalog browsing with stock variant selection, shopping cart persistence, and user security. On the admin dashboard, managers track orders, update product catalogs, and generate transactional email receipts.
I engineered the backend with Java 21, Jakarta Servlet 6, and Jersey RESTful services on Tomcat. I implemented Hibernate ORM over MySQL for secure relational entity persistence and fortified authentication with BCrypt hashing.
Challenge
Managing complex relational mappings across product variations, orders, and user carts while maintaining strict relational integrity, preventing redundant database roundtrips, and safeguarding sensitive user credentials across stateless REST endpoints.
Solution
I structured the persistence layer using Hibernate ORM entity relationships with optimized fetch joins to eliminate N+1 query bottlenecks. Authentication was reinforced using BCrypt salted hashing and session tokens, backed by Jakarta Bean Validation on all incoming API payloads.
